Dr. Brees grew up in Washington, but moved away from the Pacific Northwest to attend Kansas State University for her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. She returned to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Washington State University in 2020. During her schooling, she volunteered at animal shelters, to help socialize and care for the pets until they were able to find their forever homes.

While one of her favorite parts of veterinary medicine is the diversity seen on any given day, she has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and general wellness medicine.

Outside of the time spent helping our furring friends as a veterinarian, she enjoys photography, traveling, exploring the beautiful region we call home, and crafting. She currently shares her house with a feline companion named Scamp.
